Peter Obi Gets Angry Whenever Nigeria Makes Progress — Daniel Bwala

Daniel Bwala and Peter Obi

The Presidency has accused the presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, of consistently reacting negatively whenever the country records what it described as progress under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Special Adviser to the President on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, made the remarks in a post on X while criticizing Obi over comments attributed to him regarding fuel subsidy removal and the creation of state police.

Bwala alleged that before the 2023 presidential election, Obi supported the removal of fuel subsidy but has now reportedly said he would not implement such a policy if elected. He also claimed Obi had previously advocated for state police and the unification of Nigeria’s foreign exchange system but has since reversed his stance on both issues.

According to Bwala, the Tinubu administration has already implemented these policies, arguing that Obi’s recent comments contradict his earlier promises and raise questions about the clarity of his agenda for the country.

He further alleged that Obi appears uncomfortable with the government’s achievements, stating that the former Anambra State governor becomes critical whenever Nigeria records progress under the current administration.
