At least three people have been killed and 59 others injured after Russia launched a fresh wave of drone and missile attacks on several communities across Ukraine.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the overnight assault targeted 10 regions, damaging residential buildings and critical infrastructure while emergency teams continued search and rescue operations.
In Odesa, 37 people were injured after an apartment building was damaged in a Russian missile strike. Two people remained missing as rescue workers continued searching the site.
A separate drone attack on a hotel in Chornomorsk, also in Odesa Region, injured 11 people, including six people with limited mobility.
In Zaporizhzhia Region, a Shahed drone strike on residential buildings killed two people and injured six others. Additional casualties were reported following an attack on an enterprise in the region.
Zelenskyy also said a missile strike on critical infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih killed one person and injured three others, while two people were wounded in the Kyiv region.
The Ukrainian president said Russian forces also targeted ordinary petrol stations in Zhytomyr and Rivne regions, as well as a locomotive depot in Odesa.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces had intercepted or destroyed more than 200 aerial targets during the latest wave of attacks.
He criticised the international response to Russia’s continued bombardment, arguing that the reaction from major world powers had not matched what he described as the growing scale of Russian aggression.
