In a passionate address to the people of Anambra State, governorship candidate Sir Paul Chukwuma of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) unveiled his vision for a new era of leadership grounded in service, unity, and progress.
Speaking at a community town hall meeting, Sir Chukwuma struck a personal chord, describing himself not only as a candidate but as “your brother, your son, and your servant.” He emphasized that his ambition to lead is not driven by comfort or privilege, but by a deep-rooted desire to serve the people of Anambra.
“From the first day I took this mantle of leadership, I knew it was not a position for comfort — it is a call to serve,” he declared, as the crowd erupted in applause.
Touching on the critical issues facing the state, Sir Chukwuma acknowledged the people’s frustrations over poor infrastructure, failing healthcare systems, inadequate schools, and youth unemployment. He assured citizens that he understands their pain because he has “walked our streets, sat with our elders, and broken bread with our traders.”
He outlined a bold mission to decentralize governance, strengthen local communities, and turn Anambra into a “beacon of progress and unity.” Central to his platform is a focus on empowering women, educating children, and creating jobs for youths.
“This is not a dream for me — it is my destiny,” Chukwuma proclaimed. “I believe in people-oriented leadership.”
Rejecting the traditional culture of campaign promises without delivery, he vowed to remain honorable, true to his word, and faithful to both the people and God.
“I am here to work, to build, and to deliver. I am here because I was born for this,” he affirmed.
His campaign slogan, “Joy is Coming,” echoed throughout the venue, symbolizing a promise of renewed hope and transformation.
