The Convener of Southeast 2023 Presidential Mandate, Prince Benedict Onyewuenyi, has cautioned Nigerian youth against further demonstration, saying they should not fret about the content and expections of President Muhammadu Buhari’s broadcast speech last night.
Prince Onyewuenyi said, “For the past two and half weeks, your voice has been loud and strident on critical issues of state, you have spoken and you have been heard”
Speaking to journalists in Enugu on Friday while reacting to President Buhari’s address, Prince Onyewuenyi advised the angry youth, “it’s time to slow down and restrategize for the future. The future is surely yours. No one can take that away. That is a reality that must come to pass”
According to him, ‘To own the future, you must start planning for it today, get organized, map out programs and visions of a better and just Nigeria, take your message of a better tomorrow to all the nooks and crannies of Nigeria, establish a political party through which you would propagate your message of hope and a better Nigeria”
The Igbo Activist noted, ‘Politics is about numbers, you have the numbers, politics is about strategic planning, start making plans, politics require funding, you have demonstrated your capacity to raise funds in an efficient and mind blowing manner within a short period.
His words: “It is only a man who has a vision or the dream of what he visualizes as an ideal nation that can translate such vision or dream into reality, you as the future of Nigeria must start the process of driving your own dreams and vision for a better nation, no other generation can do it for you.
“I urge all of you to exercise restraint and punish all those who dared to discountenance your dreams and vision for a better Nigeria with victory at the polls come 2023, start now so you can become an unstoppable force for good and the transformation of Nigeria from 2023.
“The future is yours, own it. Let those who own their today keep it, for you shall step on their past to bring about a greater Nigeria that will be beyond their contemplation.
You are indeed a blessed generation.
“Say no to violence and prevent subversive element and never-do-wells from defining the essence of your dreams for a better tomorrow”
