Nigerian soldiers have reportedly arrested a group of suspected political thugs in Osun State following allegations that they were mobilised to cause violence ahead of the governorship election.
A viral video circulating on social media shows the suspected thugs being apprehended by soldiers.

According to claims accompanying the video, the suspects were allegedly acting on the instructions of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the state, Bola Oyebamiji, popularly known as AMBO.
The allegation has not been independently verified, and there has been no confirmed statement from Oyebamiji or the APC establishing that he ordered the suspects to cause violence.
The reported arrest comes amid heightened political tension in Osun State as parties intensify campaigns ahead of the election.
