U.S. President Donald Trump used the White House Correspondents’ Dinner to blend humor with political jabs, joking that news organizations would struggle to survive without him once he leaves office.
Speaking before journalists and guests at the annual event, Trump claimed there would be “nobody to report on” after his presidency, adding that media outlets would “be broke” without him.
In a moment that drew laughter from the audience, the president put on a “Trump 2028” hat and jokingly declared that he intended to run for a fourth term as president.
