Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors’ Forum, Hope Uzodinma, has declared that there is no opposition in Imo State, describing it as a “one-party state” as political activities begin to intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking at the conclusion of the Presidential Media Team and Renewed Hope Ambassadors’ tour of the state, Uzodinma expressed confidence that the All Progressives Congress (APC) would secure victory for President Bola Tinubu in the next presidential election.
The governor, who also serves as the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, praised Tinubu’s economic reforms, saying they have significantly improved state finances and enabled the implementation of key socio-economic development projects.
Uzodinma also likened President Tinubu to Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, Lee Kuan Yew, describing him as a transformational leader whose policies are laying the foundation for long-term national development.
Presidential spokesman Sunday Dare, who was part of the tour, said President Tinubu “stands on solid ground of performance,” pointing to projects inspected across Imo State as evidence of the administration’s Renewed Hope agenda.
