Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has reacted to the arrest of Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, the Director-General of the alleged fake Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC), saying the controversy goes beyond one individual and demands a broader investigation.
In a video shared online, VeryDarkMan argued that both Femi Gbajabiamila and Adeyemi appear to be victims of a larger issue, insisting that the full truth behind the emergence and operations of the PFIPC must be uncovered.
According to him, the matter reportedly escalated after the United States Embassy allegedly raised concerns with the Presidency over visa requests submitted on behalf of individuals said to be affiliated with the PFIPC, prompting further scrutiny.
VeryDarkMan questioned how the alleged agency came to be associated with government processes, urging investigators to determine whether it was ever included in the national budget and, if so, who facilitated its inclusion.
He also called for the Budget Office and relevant officials to be investigated, arguing that authorities should establish whether similar agencies may have found their way into government records or budgetary allocations.
Describing the issue as one that extends beyond politics or the arrest of a single individual, VeryDarkMan said the investigation should focus on protecting public institutions and ensuring accountability in the use of government resources.
His comments come shortly after the Nigeria Police arrested Adeniyi Adeyemi Matthew, following the issuance of a bench warrant by a court over allegations linked to the PFIPC.
