
A 56-year-old DC-8 cargo aircraft operated by Trans Air Cargo Service on Tuesday veered off the runway at Kinshasa-N’Djili Airport in the Democratic Republic of Congo.
The aircraft, registered 9S-AJO, was delivered to Trans Air Cargo Service in 2011 after previously serving with other airlines.
The incident involved the rare aircraft, which has been in service since 1971. Details of any injuries, damage or the circumstances surrounding the runway excursion were not immediately available.
