We Will Never Forget Tinubu’s Support to Bauchi – Bala Mohammed

Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed has praised President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its economic reforms, security efforts and interventions in the state.

Mohammed spoke on Monday while receiving Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele and Health Minister Ali Pate during their courtesy visit to Bauchi. He thanked Tinubu for establishing two military battalions in Alkaleri and Tafawa Balewa, saying the move had strengthened security.

“I want to really affirm our gratitude to President Tinubu, especially in the area of security. He has just established two battalions, one in Alkaleri and another one in Tafawa Balewa,” he said.

The governor recalled that Bauchi was almost overrun by bandits before he sought Tinubu’s intervention, despite being in the opposition.

“The people of Bauchi are very proud of him. When we were almost overrun by bandits, nobody was coming to our aid. I went to him, and he responded in spite of my being in the opposition,” he said.

According to Mohammed, Tinubu deployed a high powered military contingent led by the National Security Adviser alongside other security agencies.

“They really removed all the over 100,000 people who were trying to destroy our peace, and today, all those who were overrun have returned to their places, and they have found this farming season,” he said.

“We will never forget this. Tell him we will never forget this goodwill he has done to us.”

Mohammed also commended the Federal Government for completing healthcare infrastructure in Bauchi, noting that the project was launched three years ago when the state was controlled by an opposition party.

“The President has done so well in so many aspects, especially in the areas of health and finance, because the states are getting more.”

He added that Bauchi was ready to collaborate with the Federal Government to improve residents’ quality of life.
