Popular Nigerian social media personality, Tunde Ednut, has called on the All Progressives Congress (APC) to allow President Bola Tinubu to rest, questioning his continued pursuit of political power after decades of influence.
Reacting to a trending video of the President, Ednut described Tinubu as a stubborn politician, arguing that becoming Nigeria’s President was already a historic achievement that could never be erased.
He noted that Tinubu had dominated Lagos State politics for 26 years before becoming President of Nigeria, adding that his political influence had spanned nearly three decades.
According to him, even if Tinubu eventually goes down in history as Nigeria’s worst president, the fact that he once occupied the country’s highest political office would remain part of history.
Ednut further questioned how much more political power, wealth and influence the President wanted, suggesting that it was time for him to step aside and enjoy his retirement.
“At some point, enough should be enough. He should just go and rest! Na wa Ooo!” he said.
