First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has urged Nigerians to support President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027, expressing confidence that his administration will move the country from economic reforms to prosperity if given a second term.

She made the appeal on Saturday at the North-Central Mega Rally of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lafia, Nasarawa State, where party leaders and supporters gathered to mobilise support for the re-election of President Tinubu and Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

The First Lady said the administration’s economic policies were beginning to stabilise the economy, expressing optimism that continued implementation would deliver greater benefits to Nigerians.

According to her, President Tinubu’s Independence Day message, titled “From Reforms to Prosperity,” reflects the administration’s intention to translate ongoing reforms into improved living conditions and economic growth.

“President Tinubu is a man who believes in the unity, security and prosperity of our nation,” she said.

She also pointed to ongoing infrastructure projects across the country, saying the administration had prioritised road construction and other developmental projects.

Drawing from her 12 years in the Senate, Remi Tinubu described the current period as one of significant infrastructure development, citing the activities of governors across the country.

The First Lady further highlighted the administration’s food support programme, which she said was designed to improve nutrition among children, pregnant women and breastfeeding mothers.

She explained that the initiative also sought to provide assistance to malnourished children by ensuring access to nutritious food and treatment to support healthy growth.

On education, she said students were benefiting from the government’s education funding initiatives, urging APC members to take the administration’s programmes and policies to communities across their respective states.

Remi Tinubu described the President as a leader prepared to make difficult decisions, expressing confidence that his policies would strengthen the economy and improve security.

She also disclosed that the APC women’s wing had harmonised its campaign activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with a commitment to promoting the party’s message without hate speech or actions capable of threatening national unity.

Calling on party supporters to work for the victory of APC candidates at all levels, she said Nigerians should support continuity in governance to sustain the administration’s programmes.

“Therefore, vote for continuity, vote for capacity, vote for prosperity, and vote for the re-election of Mr President and all the candidates of APC from top to bottom,” she said.

The rally was hosted by Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule and attended by governors and other political leaders from the North-Central region.
