Your safety and welfarism remains our top priority, Governor Aiyedatiwa assures Corps Members in Ondo State

The Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has formally declared open the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko, assuring Corps Members of maximum welfare, security, and government support throughout their service year.

In his address, the Governor, who was represented by Hon. Segun Omoyofunmi Henry (IBB), Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development and Chairman, NYSC State Governing Board, congratulated the Corps Members on the successful completion of their academic pursuits, describing their participation in the swearing-in ceremony as a clear expression of readiness to serve the nation.

The Youth Commissioner emphasized the pivotal role of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in promoting nation building and national integration, urging the young Nigerians to contribute meaningfully to the development of their host communities. Governor Aiyedatiwa stressed that “your safety and welfarism remains our top priority”, reassuring the Corps Members that his administration, in collaboration with security agencies, has put in place proactive measures to guarantee their safety across all residential areas and places of primary assignment.

The Governor further encouraged the Corps Members to adapt quickly to the camp environment, embrace unity, cultivate lasting friendships, and take advantage of the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme as a pathway to self-reliance and prosperity.
