Nigerian influencer and online entrepreneur known as Verydarkman has appealed to followers for prayers after saying he is facing threats and deliberate attempts to prevent an incoming container of goods from being landed in Nigeria.
In a video posted to his Instagram account, Verydarkman said parties opposed to his business were using “subtle threats” and trying to sabotage his plans. “They can do anything to make sure I don’t successfully land any container in Nigeria… I am at war,” he said, adding: “It’s a f**king battle right now. VDM must fail. It’s deeper than most of you think.”
The influencer claimed he recently raised ₦39 million from 233 people in a marketing push that transformed purchases of older iPhone XR devices into contributions toward an “iPhone 17 Pro Max” upgrade scheme. He also said he has exited the car business to focus on the phone project because some followers could not afford cars but could buy phones.
“I have also pulled out of the car business because some of my followers won’t have money to purchase it, but they’ll have money to purchase phone,” he said.
Verydarkman urged his fans to pray for him and his business venture, insisting the container will arrive “no matter what it takes or cause.”
