Chief Onyemelukwe Eusebius Zonyelu, former Senatorial candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), has congratulated His Excellency, Prof. Charles Soludo Nwangbafor, on his victory in the Anambra State governorship election.
In his statement, Chief Onyemelukwe commended the people of Anambra State for voting overwhelmingly for Soludo, describing the choice as a vote for good governance, developmental progress, improved infrastructure, quality education, functional healthcare, and human-capital development. He noted that Anambra voters demonstrated maturity and a clear desire for sustained growth in the state.
The APP chieftain, known for his advocacy for justice, equity, and fairness, also extended his congratulations to all governorship candidates who participated in the election. He praised their comportment during the campaigns and on election day, urging them to prepare stronger for the 2029 contest.
Chief Onyemelukwe further advised the governor-elect to invite his co-contestants—especially those who congratulated him and chose not to challenge the results in court—for a dinner meeting. He suggested that they bring along their manifestos for possible integration into Soludo’s development agenda, noting that collaboration is key in politics.
He added that politics has no permanent enemies or permanent friends, only permanent interests, and called for unity in building a better Anambra.
He concluded by giving thanks to God for the peaceful conduct of the election.
