Award-winning singer and music producer, Akon, was reportedly arrested in Georgia after a bench warrant was issued against him for failing to appear in court over a suspended driver’s license.

According to legal documents obtained by Akelicious, the incident traces back to September when police officers on patrol spotted a Tesla Cybertruck stranded in the middle of a Georgia roadway. Upon approaching, they discovered Akon behind the wheel, who informed them that the battery of his Cybertruck had died.

While assisting with towing arrangements, the officer reportedly ran a background check and discovered that Akon’s driver’s license had been suspended due to a failure to appear in court from January 2023. The singer was cited for driving with a suspended license and released from the scene.

The police report also revealed that an “illegal vape” found in the vehicle’s center console was seized and submitted for destruction.
