Former presidential aspirant and Ovation Magazine publisher, Dele Momodu, has expressed shock at the overwhelming support some governors are giving President Bola Tinubu.
Speaking on News Central, Momodu warned that if Tinubu is allowed a second term in 2027, the country could face a full-blown dictatorship. He specifically called out the trend of opposition governors, including Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, defecting to the ruling APC.
Momodu said: “The governors are f+ghting to ensure Tinubu wins a second term, f+ghting to be the biggest thug for him… If a man in his first term can capture the bodies and souls of Nigerians this way, imagine what he would do with a second term. It will be a full-blown dictatorship, and the governors will regret it as they become total slaves to him.”
He concluded by urging Nigerians to be vigilant, warning that unchecked consolidation of power could thre+ten democracy and the country’s future
