The 81st UNGA general debate is scheduled to take place from September 22 to 28, bringing together world leaders and representatives of member states to deliberate on pressing global issues.

The theme of this year’s General Assembly is “Restoring trust, managing transformation: A United Nations that delivers for all.”

As head of Nigeria’s delegation, Vice President Shettima is expected to deliver the country’s national statement during the general debate.

His participation will see Nigeria present its perspectives on key international issues and engage with other member states on matters of global concern.
