The Enugu State Government through the Community and Social Development Agency(CSDA) sets to hold and unveil her high-powered Statewide Stakeholders Sensitization programme tagged:
OPERATION 2.0,under the Nigeria Community Action for Resilience and Economic Stimulus(NG-CARES).
This landmark event, scheduled to hold on April 10th at Main Hall of the International Conference Centre, will bring together key government officials(Elected and Appointed),development partners,critical stakeholders, religious leaders,all the Enugu State Traditional rulers,all the President Generals of Communities,Youth leaders,student leaders and other civil society organizations who are committed to advancing community-driven developments and economic recovery across the state.
The Chief Host and Executive Governor of Enugu State Dr Peter Ndubuisi Mbah will underscore the State Government’s strong commitment to community developments, improving livelihoods and strengthening resilience among vulnerable populations in Enugu State.
Consolidating collaboration between Enugu State Government through the CSDA and NG-CARES/Federal Coordinating Unit, World Bank and the Federal Ministry of Budget and Planning, the National Coordinator of NG-CARES will be in attendance, alongside other National Delegates as well as representive World Bank on community development services.
Under the NG-CARES framework, the Enugu State Community and Social Development Agency serves as the delivery platform for Result Area 1: Basic Services, driving interventions that improve access to essential services such as water, sanitation,livelihood grants, renewable energy and other critical community infrastructure.
NG-CARES is a flagship intervention programme of the Federal Government backed by World Bank, designed to strengthen community resilience and stimulate economic recovery, particularly among vulnerable households.
Through targeted support and community-driven initiatives, the programme continues to uplift livelihoods,enhance service delivery, and promote sustainable development.
According to the General Manager of CSDA Hon Monday Diamond Ani,the Statewide Stakeholders Sensitization which is tagged: OPERATION 2.0 will serve as an avenue to unveil all programmes under the NG-CARES 2.0 and enlighten the stakeholders and community leaders on the functionality and process of benefiting development projects from the Enugu State Government through the CSDA.
Hon Diamond further stated that previously, the Executive Governor of Enugu State Dr Peter Mbah has through the CSDA provided potable water to over 140 communities in Enugu State, in inclusive of Ultra Modern Toilets to eradicate Open Defecation, this was witnessed during the just concluded Statewide CSDA projects Inspection tour by the CSDA.
He further promised that the Governor is keen on doubling the projects in the 2.0 programmes.
On this note, the invited stakeholders are requested to attend the Sensitization due to its utmost importance, because all processes of attracting projects to every community will be unveilled succinctlym
