The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced plans to remove the names of Senator David Mark, listed as National Chairman, and Rauf Aregbesola, listed as National Secretary, from its official portal for the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
This development was disclosed in a press statement issued today by National Commissioner Mohammed Kudu Haruna, who also serves as Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee. According to INEC, the action is in compliance with preservatory orders issued by the Court of Appeal in the case CA/ABJ/145/2026: Senator David Mark v. Hon. Nafiu Bala Gombe & Others.
The commission further stated that it will suspend recognition of the ADC’s leadership structure until the court delivers a final judgment on the matter.
