A retired Nigerian policeman has sparked widespread concern after a viral video surfaced online showing him threatening to join terrorist groups if his long-overdue pension is not paid.
In the video, the visibly frustrated ex-officer lamented the government’s failure to fulfill its pension obligations, alleging years of neglect and hardship since his retirement. He warned that continued inaction could push him toward desperate measures.
“If nothing is done about this, I’ll go to the other side… I’ll join them and help them,” he said, expressing anger over what he described as systemic injustice and abandonment by authorities.
