Terror Alert Over Imminent Attacks in Plateau State

Attacks in Plateau State

A US-based missionary, Judd Saul, has issued a fresh terror alert warning of imminent ambush attacks in parts of Plateau State, Nigeria.

Saul, who heads Equipping the Persecuted, disclosed on April 3, 2026, that intelligence reports point to planned attacks by Fulani militants targeting Christian communities in Riyom Local Government Area.

According to the alert, villages including Tashek, Gwon and Kwi have been identified as potential targets, with broader risk extending across Riyom, Barkin Ladi and Jos South LGAs.

The warning further states that armed groups have been sighted mobilising in Fass and Mahanga within the Jol axis of Riyom, raising concerns of coordinated movements ahead of possible strikes.

It also notes a reported shift in tactics, with attackers allegedly adopting methods designed to reduce visibility and avoid drawing early attention, suggesting more calculated ambush-style operations.

Judd Saul has previously shared similar intelligence-based warnings regarding the region, some of which have preceded reported incidents, adding weight to concerns surrounding the latest alert.
