Arise TV anchor, Oseni Rufai, has reignited political debate following pointed remarks directed at former aide, Daniel Bwala, over his shifting political positions.
In a statement shared on social media, Rufai recalled offering Bwala a platform on his radio show, VOP 90.3FM, where he previously criticized Labour Party’s Peter Obi. He noted that Bwala’s stance appeared to change after aligning with the All Progressives Congress (APC), suggesting that such political “flip-flopping” could damage credibility.
Rufai also referenced past interactions, including a post where Bwala expressed support for him, and an interview he claimed Bwala has “not recovered from,” alongside another involving media personality Mehdi.
While maintaining that he holds no personal grudge, the journalist stressed that he would continue to challenge Bwala based on his past statements about the APC. He advised the politician to remain consistent, warning that frequent political shifts could dent public image.
Rufai concluded his message with Easter wishes, reiterating his role as a journalist who engages voices across political divides and listens to multiple perspectives.
