
A high-powered United States delegation led by Vice President J. D. Vance has arrived in Islamabad to participate in the much-anticipated Islamabad Talks aimed at addressing key regional and global issues.
The delegation also includes Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and senior advisor Jared Kushner, signaling Washington’s strong commitment to the dialogue process.
Upon arrival, the US team was received by Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, alongside Chief of Army Staff Asim Munir and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.
Welcoming the delegation, Ishaq Dar commended the United States for its commitment to fostering lasting peace and stability across the region and beyond. He expressed optimism that all parties involved in the talks would engage constructively toward meaningful outcomes.
Dar also reiterated Pakistan’s readiness to continue playing a facilitative role in bringing stakeholders together, emphasizing the country’s desire to support efforts aimed at achieving a durable and long-term resolution to ongoing conflicts.
The Islamabad Talks are expected to focus on critical geopolitical challenges, with global attention fixed on the potential outcomes of the high-level engagement.
