Controversial social media personality, VeryDarkMan, has publicly challenged human rights activist and publisher of Sahara Reporters, Omoyele Sowore, to explain his past political role and sources of funding.
In a strongly worded statement circulating online, VeryDarkMan accused Sowore of allegedly being influenced and sponsored by the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan. He further claimed that Sowore played a role in shaping narratives against Jonathan at the time.
The social commentator also questioned the transparency of Sowore’s activism, particularly regarding funding for protests and donations received from supporters. He alleged that protest movements in Nigeria may have been monetized, urging Sowore to disclose how much is generated during such activities and how the funds are utilized.
VeryDarkMan went on to accuse the activist of portraying concern for Nigerians while allegedly benefiting financially from public unrest, a claim that has sparked mixed reactions across social media platforms.
