APC Governors Replace Hope Uzodinma With Peter Mbah as PGF Chairman

Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, has reportedly been removed as Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum (PGF) following an extraordinary meeting of All Progressives Congress (APC) governors held in Abuja on Thursday night.

The decision was said to have been reached during a closed-door meeting attended by about 20 governors elected on the platform of the APC and allied progressive blocs.

Moments after the meeting, Governor of Enugu State, Peter Mbah, was announced as the new Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, succeeding Uzodinma.

Sources at the meeting disclosed that the gathering had in attendance governors from Ogun, Bayelsa, Enugu and 17 other states, where discussions reportedly centered on internal party coordination and preparations ahead of the 2027 political cycle.
