A viral video circulating on social media has shown the dramatic moment an electrician narrowly escaped death after being electrocuted while working on an electric pole in Nsukka, Nsukka.
The incident reportedly occurred when the man, said to be a staff of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC), Enugu Electricity Distribution Company, was carrying out maintenance work on a power line and suddenly came in contact with live electricity.
Eyewitnesses said the shock left him stranded and unable to move while still on the pole, raising panic among residents who gathered at the scene.
In a brave intervention, an onlooker reportedly climbed the pole to rescue him, managing to bring him down to safety amid tense moments.
He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
His current condition has not been officially confirmed at the time of filing this report.
