Controversial social commentator Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan, has expressed concern over what he described as declining political engagement among Nigerian youths.
Reacting to the media chat recently held by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, VeryDarkMan said many young Nigerians now limit their political participation to discussions on social media without paying sustained attention to political developments.
He warned that the current style of politics being practised by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other political leaders could have serious implications for the country’s future.
VeryDarkMan also expressed concern that younger politicians may adopt what he described as the prevailing pattern of politics, potentially shaping the country’s political landscape for years to come.
He said Nigerian youths need to pay closer attention to political affairs and remain actively engaged beyond online discussions.
