A Nigerian mother, Ndukwe Victoria, has cried out for help and justice after alleging that her young daughter was sexually assaulted by a teacher at her school.
In a video circulating online, Victoria narrated that the incident allegedly occurred on November 18 after her daughter returned from school.
According to the mother, the child complained of pain around her private area after returning from school. Victoria said she initially believed the pain was minor, but became alarmed later that evening while bathing the child.

She alleged that the child told her that her teacher, identified as “Auntie Oloma,” had put a pair of scissors inside her private part.
Victoria said she examined the child and allegedly observed two injuries around the genital area.
She further recounted that her mother went to the school to report the matter to the proprietor. According to her, the proprietor was unavailable and the family was instead able to communicate with her by telephone.
The mother also alleged that she sent photographs of the child’s injuries to the school proprietor via WhatsApp and claimed that the message was read without an immediate response.
Victoria said she subsequently took her daughter to a hospital, where, according to her account, a doctor confirmed that the child had suffered sexual abuse. She clarified in the video that she was told there had been no penetration.
The mother said she repeatedly asked her daughter who was responsible for the alleged abuse, and the child allegedly identified her teacher, “Auntie Oloma.”
Victoria is now appealing to Nigerians and relevant authorities to intervene, protect her daughter and ensure that the matter is properly investigated.
The allegations contained in the viral video have not been independently verified. The identity and face of the child should be protected because she is a minor, while any person accused should be given the opportunity to respond to the allegations and due process should be followed.
Authorities, including child-protection and law-enforcement agencies, are expected to establish the facts surrounding the allegation and take appropriate action based on the outcome of their investigation.
