Nnamani Arinze Darlington, Special Assistant on Media to Enugu State Governor Peter Mbah, has highlighted key achievements of the administration while addressing the All Progressives Congress (APC) Local Government Monthly Meeting.
Speaking at the meeting yesterday, at Agbani; Darlington noted the transformation in Nkanu West Local Government Area since Governor Mbah assumed office.
He said: “Before Governor Mbah assumed office, the people of Nkanu West could not freely go out on Mondays. Schools and markets were shut down due to insecurity. Since he came on board, he has restored security, provided free education through the Smart Green Schools, built Primary Healthcare Centres across the wards, launched Enugu Air, constructed over 1,500 km of roads, and delivered many more transformative projects. Enugu is truly changing for the better! Tomorrow Is Here!”
Earlier at the meeting, other major stakeholders also spoke in praise of the governor’s performance. The APC Local Government Party Chairman, Hon. Chinedu Nnaji, who spoke first, urged party members to continue supporting Governor Mbah, stating that the visible achievements in roads, security, and education clearly show that Enugu is on the path of progress.
He was followed by Rt. Hon. USA Igwesi, former Member of the House of Representatives, who described the governor as a focused leader whose policies have restored peace and accelerated development in Nkanu West and across the state.
Next to speak was the APC Enugu House of Assembly member flag bearer, Hon. Ifeanyi Nnamani, who lauded the free education programme and healthcare interventions, noting that they are positively impacting families across the local government.
The Local Government Chairman, Hon. John Chukwuma Ogbodo, also spoke, describing Governor Mbah as a visionary leader whose administration has brought tangible development and lasting peace to the area.
Deputy Chairman, Hon. Friday Nnam, and other stakeholders present equally expressed appreciation for the governor’s developmental strides.
