Bandits have released a disturbing video showing a kidnapped couple and their baby daughter in captivity in Kaduna State, demanding a ransom of N300 million for their release.
Akelicious reports that the armed men invaded Alrahus Estate in Millennium City, Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, on Monday, October 5, 2026, abducting the family, including a woman who was reportedly pregnant at the time of the incident.
In the video obtained by Akelicious, the abducted man, identified as Ahmad Abubakar Zakka, was seen appealing to members of the public to help secure the family’s freedom. His wife sat beside him while their baby daughter rested on his lap.
The footage showed the family being held at gunpoint, with one of the armed men pointing an AK-47 rifle at Zakka’s head while threatening to kill him.
Zakka also appeared to have restricted movement in one of his hands, while his right hand looked swollen, raising concerns about his condition in captivity.
His wife was equally seen appearing distressed as she joined her husband in appealing for help.
Speaking in the video, Zakka identified himself and made an emotional plea for assistance, calling on members of the public to intervene and help secure their release.
“My name is Ahmad Abubakar Zakka. I am seeking help from God, and I am asking you to come to our aid. I was taken away on Monday to be made a—,” he said before continuing his appeal.
The abducted man subsequently disclosed that the kidnappers were demanding N300 million as ransom for the family’s release.
“Please, I am pleading for help. Please help me, help me… They are demanding a ransom of N300 million. Please come to our aid and help us,” Zakka pleaded.
The video has highlighted the family’s plight and renewed concerns over the security situation in Kaduna State, where residents have continued to face threats from armed kidnappers and bandits.
As of the time of filing this report, there was no further information on whether negotiations had commenced or whether security agencies had made any breakthrough towards securing the family’s release.
