Nigerian filmmaker and social commentator Stanley Ontop has expressed concern over the reported disappearance of Evelyn, the Chief Executive Officer of 44 Clothing, following reports of a corpse discovered in a river around Bonny Camp, Lagos.
Stanley raised the concern in a series of social media posts, where he expressed hope that the deceased was not Evelyn, whose whereabouts have reportedly become a source of concern.

In one of his posts, the filmmaker said he hoped the information he had received about the clothing brand owner’s disappearance was untrue. However, he called for accountability if the reports eventually proved to be true.
“Hope this story I’m hearing about 44 Clothing is not true. But if it eventually turns out to be true, Nigerians should hold her boyfriend, Derrick, responsible because he has been threatening her,” Stanley wrote.
In a separate post, Stanley shared a photograph of a corpse reportedly found in a river around Bonny Camp, Lagos, claiming that the image had been forwarded to him.
“Let’s pray it’s not her,” he wrote, expressing concern over the possibility that the deceased could be the missing clothing entrepreneur.
Stanley also disclosed that Harrison Gwamnishu was on his way to Bonny Camp to follow up on the matter.
As of the time of this report, the identity of the deceased has not been established, and there has been no independent confirmation that the body is connected to Evelyn’s reported disappearance.
Similarly, the allegations concerning Derrick remain unverified, and no official statement establishing his involvement in the disappearance has been confirmed.
Further details are expected as efforts to establish the identity of the deceased and determine the circumstances surrounding the incident continue.
This report will be updated as more verified information becomes available.
