Nigerian Afrobeats star Wande Coal has reportedly converted to Islam as he celebrates his 41st birthday.
A video shared online on October 18 showed the singer at an Islamic prayer gathering. Music executive Bizzle Osikoya later appeared to confirm the news, replying “He reverted” to a social media user who questioned the singer’s religion.
Wande Coal, whose real name is Oluwatobi Wande Ojosipe, is also reportedly known by the Muslim name Abdul-Ganiyy Ibn Ojosipe. The singer has yet to publicly comment on the reports.
