Popular Nigerian doctor and health commentator, Dr Sina, has reacted to a viral photo of celebrated music video director ThankGod Omori, popularly known as TG Omori, allegedly smoking while in Mexico months after undergoing a kidney transplant.
In a post that has sparked widespread debate on social media, Dr Sina expressed concern over the image, stating that individuals who have battled kidney-related illnesses and received transplants should avoid habits that could jeopardise their health.
“Sorry to say. Someone who had a kidney issue and got kidney transplant should not be smoking,” Dr Sina wrote.
The comment comes after TG Omori’s highly publicised kidney transplant journey, which drew support and prayers from fans, celebrities, and colleagues across Nigeria. The music video director had previously revealed that he underwent a transplant procedure following a prolonged battle with kidney disease.
The viral photo has since generated mixed reactions online, with some users defending TG Omori’s personal choices, while others echoed Dr Sina’s concerns about the potential health risks associated with smoking after a major organ transplant.
