Veteran Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo has weighed in on Nigeria’s worsening insecurity, questioning the value placed on the lives of ordinary citizens.
In a video shared online, the actress said she had repeatedly watched President Bola Tinubu’s response to a question about insecurity and was left wondering whether he truly understood what Nigerians were asking.
According to her, Nigerians are not seeking biblical lessons, parables, or sermons, but answers to why kidnappings, attacks, and fear continue to dominate daily life.
She lamented that children are still being kidnapped, communities are being raided, farmers are abandoning their farmlands, and many families are grieving loved ones lost to violence.
Dokubo argued that the real concern is whether the government can effectively protect lives and property, stressing that this is the question many Nigerians want answered.
“No amount of scripture can hide that,” she said.
