Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, the National Youth President of Afenifere, was kidnapped by armed men suspected to be Fulani herdsmen while traveling to Abuja on February 17.

The abduction occurred around 2:00 p.m. in Akunnu Akoko, Ondo State.

Ojajuni, who is still receiving medical care, shared details of his ordeal on social media. He expressed appreciation to those who supported him financially, spiritually, and emotionally during the difficult time.

He also thanked those who reached out to his wife with words of encouragement.

After being held captive for about 12 days, Ojajuni was released on March 1 following the payment of a ₦17 million ransom.

A source close to the family revealed that his wife personally delivered the money to the abductors in Akure before he was freed.

Despite assurances, the Nigerian government did not provide financial help, and security agencies were unable to track the kidnappers before the ransom was paid.

A family source stated that the police efforts did not bring results, leaving the family with no option but to gather funds themselves.

For security reasons, Ojajuni’s exact location remains undisclosed as he continues to recover.
