Nollywood actress Nancy Isime has stirred reactions after sharing her views on Christianity and her personal faith.
Speaking during a recent conversation, the actress said she does not consider herself a “typical Nigerian Christian,” adding that she believes Christianity has been used to “brainwash” people.
According to Isime, Jesus Christ himself was accused of witchcraft during His lifetime, and that accusation contributed to His crucifixion.
> “Christianity is brainwashing. I am not your typical Nigerian Christian and I don’t want to be. At the time Jesus lived, he was accused of witchcraft and that’s one of the reasons he was killed, but 2,000 years later, we’re worshipping him,” she said.
