‘Phillipe Coutinho has no personal issue with Daniel Levy and claims otherwise are totally false,’ said Joorabchian. ‘The deal did not collapse due to financial reasons.’
Coutinho joined Barcelona from Liverpool for £142m in January 2018 but did not make the desired impact at the Nou Camp and was available last summer.
The 27-year-old has been on-loan at Bayern Munich but they are unlikely to take up their option of making the move permanent at the end of the campaign.
The Brazilian has scored nine goals and made eight assists in 32 appearances for the Germans in a mixed spell.
However, several Premier League clubs could still be interested in securing his services on a temporary basis.
This includes Spurs as well Manchester United, Chelsea and Arsenal who could all make a move.
