Davido Reports Tinubu, APC To Trump,

Nigerian hip hop artist David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido has called on US President Donald Trump and the international community to pay close attention to the upcoming election in Osun State, citing concerns over possible tension and disruption.

In a public statement released Monday On His Twitter Page, Adeleke said there are “growing concerns about tension and the possibility of violence, intimidation, or disruption of the democratic process” in the southwestern state as voting approaches.

“Osun people deserve to exercise their constitutional right to vote freely, peacefully, and without fear,” he said.
Adeleke directly addressed President Trump in the statement, appealing to the United States to monitor the process.

He also urged international observers and relevant authorities to ensure voter safety and the integrity of results.

“We do not want bloodshed. We do not want intimidation. We want peace, transparency, and a free and fair election,” Adeleke stated.

The musician’s intervention adds a high-profile voice to calls for calm ahead of the Osun polls. Election officials in Nigeria have not yet responded to the statement.

Adeleke, one of Nigeria’s most prominent music exports, has previously spoken on civic issues and youth participation in governance.

Bola Tinubu, one of the leaders of Nigeria’s leading opposition All Progressive Congress, tries to calm the crowd after violence broke out during a campaign rally at the Taslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos on January 30, 2015.
