Deji Adeyanju Urges Youth to Pursue Education and Skills Over Political Loyalty

Human rights activist, Deji Adeyanju, has advised young Nigerians to focus on education and productive ventures rather than trailing politicians without tangible benefits.

In a strongly worded statement, Adeyanju encouraged youths to return to school and obtain higher qualifications such as a Master’s degree or PhD, instead of “wasting years doing nothing meaningful.”

He stressed that engaging in small-scale businesses, such as buying a deep freezer to sell ice blocks as a side hustle, is more rewarding than following politicians around in hopes of future gains.

According to him, many individuals who have spent years associating closely with politicians remain financially unstable and unemployed.

“Nothing will come out of following politicians around,” he said, noting that even some aides within government circles struggle to meet basic financial obligations.
