
Governor Alex Otti was today confronted by a man during an official inspection in Umuahia, who reportedly ran up to him, lamenting that he was hungry and had not been able to find work.
According to eyewitnesses, the man approached Governor Otti while he was inspecting ongoing projects, expressing his struggles with unemployment and food insecurity. In response, the governor assured him of support and immediately directed that he be taken care of.
Governor Otti handed the man over to the Mayor of Umuahia North Local Government Area, instructing that he should be properly assisted and provided with a job opportunity.
The Abia State government has reiterated its commitment to tackling unemployment and providing social support for vulnerable residents across the state.
