Nollywood actress Temitope Osoba has died following a prolonged battle with cancer, nearly two years after undergoing surgery for the disease.
Her death was announced on Wednesday by her close friend and colleague, actor Alesh Ola Sanni, who disclosed that the actress passed away on Tuesday evening.
In an emotional tribute shared on Instagram, Sanni described Osoba as a beloved sister and reflected on the cherished memories they shared together.
«”Couldn’t sleep since last night. It’s well. Rest in peace, my dearest sister, Temitope Osoba. We had amazing times and beautiful memories together. Till we meet again. I really don’t know what to say. Gosh,” he wrote.»
Osoba had publicly appealed for financial assistance in November 2024 to fund another surgery as she continued treatment for cancer.
The actress had previously undergone breast cancer surgery but continued to battle complications related to the illness before her passing.
Her death has sparked an outpouring of grief from colleagues, fans, and members of the Nigerian film industry, who have taken to social media to pay tribute to her life and career.
