A non-governmental organization under the aegis of Legends Anti- Violence Foundation Thursday expressed concern over the unending spate of cult related killings in Edo state.

Director General of the group, Kadiri Christopher stated this during the foundation’s protest match over cult killings in Benin City, the state capital.

The group carried placards with inscriptions such as: “No more killings, No more brutality, No more revenge/retaliation, Shun cultism, it is evil”.

According to Kadiri, the state has lost no fewer than 200 persons to cult related clashes since December 2018.

He said the group cannot afford to fold its arm and watch innocent souls being killed on daily basis “particularly in Upper Sakpoba, Ogida, Ebvuobore parts of Benin City.”

The DG called on youths to sheathe their swords, embrace peace and channel their energy unto meaningful and productive ventures

Also, founder, Crusader Against Campus Cultism and Violence Foundation, Samson Briamah said the group is readily available to offer assistance to cult members who are willing to trend the path of peace.
