Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has confirmed that her divorce from actor Frederick Leonard has been finalised, bringing an end to their marriage nearly four years after they tied the knot.
The actress announced the development in a brief post on her social media page, writing, “Thank you Jesus. It is done. I’m finally free,” while also reposting congratulatory messages from friends celebrating the conclusion of the divorce.
The confirmation comes about a month after Ovire publicly accused Leonard of having an affair with a married woman who is a mother of four. She had also alleged that Leonard repeatedly failed to appear in court after initiating the divorce, urging him to attend the hearing so the marriage could be formally dissolved. Leonard has not publicly responded to those allegations.
Peggy Ovire and Frederick Leonard got married in November 2022, and their relationship had been one of Nollywood’s most talked-about unions before news of their separation emerged.
