Nigerian content creator Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has reacted strongly to a viral claim by a self-proclaimed Babalawo that he helped him achieve fame through “juju.”
Peller dismissed the claim as a stunt that was initially created for content, alleging that the man has now turned the attention generated by the video into a scam.
According to the content creator, the Babalawo’s TikTok page had about 4,000 followers when the video was first posted but has since grown to more than 65,000 followers. He alleged that the man has subsequently transformed the page to appear like that of a genuine traditional spiritualist and is now collecting money from people who believe his claims.
Peller vowed to involve the police, insisting that the alleged scammer would face legal consequences.
He also expressed concern over people believing the claim and seeking similar spiritual services, saying some individuals had even indicated in the comment section that they were willing to use family members for such rituals.
Reacting to the comments, Peller questioned why people would still believe such claims in 2026.
The content creator further warned that he would not be available to entertain pleas for mercy if the police arrest the man, saying he intends to remain outside Nigeria for an extended period.
Peller’s reaction has since drawn attention online, with social media users debating the original “juju” claim and the growing influence of spiritual-content pages on social media.
