Rufai Oseni Slams ‘Fake News’ Rumours, Calls for National Reform from Berlin

Popular broadcaster Rufai Oseni has dismissed reports claiming he was suspended from Arise TV, describing them as false and misleading.

Speaking during a visit to Berlin, the journalist criticised what he called the spread of “fake news” about his status, insisting he remains active and fully supported by the station’s management.

According to him, the management of Arise TV is aware of his ongoing trip, warning that those behind the rumours would face consequences if he chooses to act.

Oseni made the remarks after visiting a Nigerian-owned business, Ebe-Ano Nigeria Soulfood, where he expressed admiration for the level of organisation and development he witnessed abroad.

He questioned why similar standards could not be replicated in Nigeria, noting that the environment he visited was not a high-end district but still maintained impressive infrastructure and order.

The broadcaster vowed to continue holding authorities accountable, stating that he would persist in criticising failures in governance while also acknowledging progress when made.

Oseni emphasised that his commitment remains focused on advocating for a better Nigeria, declaring that he would not be deterred by misinformation or public pressure.
