Nollywood actress and filmmaker Ruth Kadiri has recounted how a divine instruction she received years ago led to the creation of her successful French YouTube channel, which now boasts over one million subscribers.
Speaking about the journey, Kadiri revealed that shortly after giving birth to her daughter in London, she felt strongly that God was directing her to start a French-language YouTube channel, despite not speaking a word of French at the time.
According to her, the idea seemed illogical and difficult to pursue, but she recognized the voice because it had guided her in the past. Determined to obey, she searched for translators and collaborators to help bring the vision to life. However, the process was filled with setbacks, including an incident where someone allegedly collected her money and disappeared.
Frustrated by the challenges, Kadiri said she eventually abandoned the project and began to question whether she had truly heard from God.
The breakthrough came unexpectedly when a man contacted her and asked if she was interested in producing content in French. She described the moment as a clear sign that the right opportunity had finally arrived.
Today, her French YouTube channel has grown to more than one million subscribers, a milestone she attributes to faith, patience, and trusting God’s timing.
Reflecting on the experience, Kadiri said the journey taught her that God’s plans often differ from human expectations and can unfold in ways that are impossible to predict.
