Heartbreaking reports have emerged from Uga, Anambra State, following reports that a young woman identified as Messioma Nwaora, who was earlier declared missing, has reportedly been found dead.
According to accounts circulating on social media, her former boyfriend, identified as Chima Emmanuel, who is reportedly from Ebonyi State, allegedly confessed to killing her on Friday after she ended their relationship.
The circulating accounts further allege that Chima claimed he strangled Messioma by tightening her clothing around her neck until she died. He reportedly said he subsequently placed her body inside a bag said to weigh 70kg and transported it away on a commercial motorcycle, popularly known as an okada.
However, these claims, including the alleged confession and the circumstances surrounding Messioma’s death, have yet to be independently verified. It is also unclear whether the police have officially confirmed the allegations or announced any arrest in connection with the incident.
