Former Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, has once again demonstrated his commitment to humanitarian service as he donated pharmaceutical drugs worth millions of naira to Chief Julius Ajogwu Memorial Hospital in Nsukka on April 18.
The donation, described as a major health intervention for the people of Nsukka Zone and surrounding communities, is aimed at providing free treatment for vulnerable residents, especially the poor, widows, and fatherless individuals who cannot afford hospital bills.
According to information gathered, the donated drugs will be used for the free treatment of several common but costly medical conditions, including hypertension, diabetes mellitus, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and other related health challenges.
The medical outreach is expected to benefit hundreds of residents who are urged to take advantage of the initiative by visiting the hospital located at No. 84 Edem Road, Nsukka, for free medical tests and drug collection.
The organisers emphasized that the program is strictly targeted at indigent persons who are unable to afford healthcare services, reaffirming the slogan: “Health is Wealth.”
