Nollywood actor Uzor Arukwe has praised actress and filmmaker Funke Akindele, describing every opportunity to work with her as a privilege and a blessing.
Arukwe, while speaking about his experiences working with the award-winning filmmaker, said Akindele regularly commends his acting abilities and expresses her appreciation for his work.
According to the actor, Akindele’s encouraging words mean so much to him that he once joked about putting her compliments on his curriculum vitae.

Arukwe further described Akindele as one of the best filmmakers in the Nigerian film industry and a great teacher, adding that he considers it a privilege whenever she invites him to feature in her productions.
However, he noted that the filmmaker can be impatient with actors who lack adequate acting skills, particularly because the limited production time on movie sets may not allow her to train inexperienced performers from scratch.
He explained that Akindele expects actors to come prepared and already understand their craft, as production schedules often leave little room for extensive coaching.
